Online Arab Universities open learning platform relies heavily on the tutoring process, thus promoting proactive learning. OAU's delivery methodology is based on programmed and progressive lectures, with other supporting forms of delivery, such as internet – based learning, mixed with various components that aim to offer an environment of supported combined learning.
These are augmented by a number of Learning Centers (LCs) in all our various regional branches. Learning Centers at Online Arab Universities are deployed in each participating country as integral components of the University branch and online learning facilities are also provided. These LCs will be well equipped with networks of personal computers, multimedia facilities and multimedia workstations.
The main paradigm upon which the pillars of an open system of education stand lies in its flexibility to accommodate a wider base of Higher Education (HE) seekers, thereby Online Arab Universities offering open opportunities of education to many qualified applicants. This is attributed to rarity of constraints of admission hitherto found in traditional institutions.
OAU knows that its open learning platform is mainly a blended education approach with quality standards as top priority. This approach is slightly different from the traditional education by correspondence concept. At OAU Libraries and digital lab-based resources are also deployed for the benefits of their students and for online learning purpose.
